Looks like I haven't done a hybrid feature in a little while, and I have so many projects I still want to share, including reposting some that were lost with the old blog.  Just really lacking time right now, specially with a week like this were Lucas was sick at home and I was trying to finish some designs for next week. It is a mini camera wallet album template which includes a bonus mini kit. I decided to take the opportunity to post the step by step photos that I saved from when I put it together ;)

My cute little mini camera wallet album fits on the palm of my hand and has my favourite photos of Matty, working on one for Lucas but I want another shape for him :)

The step by step is pretty straight forward with a couple of details to keep in mind. First work on your template digitally:

Add your photos and you can choose between having an album with just black and white frames or with coloured frames. The template has both so please remember to turn whichever you don't want off, as you will end up black outlines in your print out if you don't turn it off.

Print out your album in a letter size or A4 paper, back and front will fit on the same page:

Separate back and front and cut around the front side but just the extremes of the back, glue both together and fold:

 

Doing it this way, you can cut all pages at the same time so they are uniform:

     

The frame is thick enough, so you can cut in a little if you don't have the back and front 100% aligned, but I like things "perfectly imperfect", it adds to the handmade feel ;)

Me again with another kit. I am overflowing with kit ideas but there are just so many hours in a day hehehe. I just had to create a kit based on my afternoon photographic adventures. So I just grabbed some of my favourite photos, created a color scheme from it and off I went. I created some 70's style patterns that I am loving right now (well, they go perfectly with that rose tint I like on the photos to make them look vintage), scanned some elements and figured out how to create flare effects in Photoshop :) Anyway, here it is, 20% off until Wednesday:

Since it is SUMMER for my friends in the US and I am freezing here let's see some sunshine, shall we?

A cool thing about this hybrid album (and very brave/out of the norm for me) is that I printed it on Matte paper. Now this might be normal for a lot of people, but matte paper has special uses for me. It is a lot riskier to use it with liquid adhesives like mod podge, so I avoid matte paper because of that, but sometimes I just want to have more texture instead of intense colours. In this case specifically, I wanted to add my own journaling, so I picked matte paper to make my life easier, as I would have to use specialty pens to write on the photographic paper and would still risk smudges (I pretty much smudge as I write, lol)

nah, I didn't really plan to have a sale on April fools' day, at LDD we have a 1 dollar sale EVERY Wednesday, so the only thing special about this Wednesday is... it is MY turn :)

LOL not really, April Fools' Day :)

This is my brother making fun of the whole scene I had with Lucas. I showed him the photo and was talking about how much I love it but have a hard time scrapping it and he said something like "wow, I like that, let's get one of me too" and I jumped into the opportunity, grabbed him by the hand and we walked up to the playground where I took the first photo. When we got there it was colder, later in the day (7PM as opposed to 6PM) and we had everyone waiting on us for dinner so I didn't really get what I wanted "photographically" speaking, but it is priceless isn't it? :)
