Hybrid Feature + OLW: play

by with love by mushy 12. August 2009 22:46

I have been invited to play along with the wordsters this week, wheeee. Not that I don't always play whenever I can but it was great to find out the word ahead of time so I could create a more involved project and also because it rocks to see myself featured among such talent in that blog :) And the word prompt this week could not be better: PLAY.

Here is the mini album I have put together using my CD Album template and Sunny Afternoon kit:

American Crafts's thickers, making memories ribbons, doddlebug buttons, epson paper,  I think that's all the supplies :)

Oh, I found a new little friend for this project, a white gel pen....  had fun playing with it. I highlighted the title and made flowers and butterfly trails with it. Here is how I created one of the flowers.

easy peasy right? added the button with a glue dot.

and lets not forget the doodlebug buttons, how fun is this mess:

I am always worried my stash won't be enough, lol For the frosted and transparent buttons I didn't use glue dots I used Bostick glu tack, highly recommend it, dries completely clear.

Summer's Dawn - my first collab

by with love by mushy 11. August 2009 21:11

God bless Facebook, LOL In an exchange of compliments on Facebook me and Amanda Taylor from Taylormade Designs decided to work together to bring you Summer's Dawn. I always loved Amanda's clean and minimalistic style, as well as her stunning photography, but working with her was just beyond my expectations. She is so sweet and easy going and willing to share! We got along so well :) Expect more from us in the future but here it is, Summer's Dawn, available at LDD and oscraps and with 20% off until Sunday:

Amanda's style just begs for a minimalist approach, so I created a page completely out of my element and I just love how it turned out:

It is fun to try different styles and techniques :) This page was also for the hodge podge challenge on repetition, that's why I repeated the photo :)

I hope you enjoy scrapping with this kit, we had fun putting it together for you! xoxo

Playing with Paper - Set 11

by with love by mushy 26. June 2009 01:29

So good to be back to designing :) It is also another incentive to get my pages done, you know I like to "test" everything I create so the first thing I do when I finish a template is use it. Here are the two pages I created with my latest set:

12_whatplayground copy

Journaling: We moved to the new house and had to take your little playground apart. I was responsible for entertaining you two while daddy finished moving the big things into the house and as soon as we got outside you saw the parts of the playground on the floor and loved exploring and looking through the bits and pieces. Shame mommy put it back together again.

Journaling: Lucas, you absolutely adore bananas. You want them all the time, one after another. I don’t even think you will ever get sick of them. Lucky you have good appetite and will eat other things too. It is so good to see you eating healthy!!! xoxo mommy Dec’08

Hybrid Feature - Car Album

by with love by mushy 18. June 2009 05:11

Once again I am here posting a project that has been published, and I am soooo happy about it! Look how cool is the photo in the magazine (Scrapbooking Memories Vol.11, No.03), my album is the front page of the Beyond the page gallery:

(you can click on images for larger version)

Isn't the setting they put together adorable? I had to wait a couple of months to post about it as the contract includes that the project can't be displayed when it is published, but now you can celebrate with me, I am offering the template above with 50% off this week only :)

Here are a couple more photos:

This one was a lot of fun to put together! I loved the colours from Vintage Summer kit by Michele Coleman. That reminds me.... I still haven't scrapped the photos from this year's trip to the Jamberoo water park... but I gotta finish my 2008 album first, lol priorities!

Water Park photos

by michellefilo 11. February 2009 22:15

The day Flickr cancelled my account I was oblivious, having too much fun to even think about my computer :) That night I came home and thought about the wonderful photos I have taken and how I would like to share them on my blog. It was not meant to be that night. Well, here they are, better late than never:

I think you can tell from the photos how much the boys loved it? We went to Jamberoo Park last year too and it was great. We want to make it a tradition and go every summer. I am looking forward to it next year already!

Sorry if this bothers everyone snowed in, but it really IS summer in Australia LOL - even if it was 40C degrees this weekend and now it is 10C :(
